Mumbai rally to draw with Chirag in Indian League
Mumbai FC secured a 1-1 draw with Chirag United at the Salt Lake Stadium on Friday.
The home side took the lead after 12 minutes when Sankar Oraon tapped home after goalkeeper Kalyan Chaubey had kept out a shot from Dhanarajan.
Mumbai rallied hard and found the equaliser when Riston Rodrigues struck on the hour mark.
Rodrigues fired home from 30 yards, the shot taking a wicked deflection off defender Daniel and leaving goalkeeper Gopal Das hopelessly out of position.
Mumbai FC now have 13 points from nine matches, while Chirag have nine points and need to improve considerably to avoid relegation.
