FC Bunyodkor seal first ever Uzbeki league title

FC Bunyodkor secured the Uzbekistan League title for the first time in their history today by defeating Andijan 2-0 to complete a league and cup double.

The victory means Zico's side have 78 points and can no longer be caught with nearest challengers Pakhtakor on 71 points with two games remaining.

The hosts opened the scoring through the league's leading goalscorer Server Djeparov in the 35th minute before Anvar Soliev added a second eight minutes into the second half.

FC Bunyodkor will look to complete their campaign unbeaten having won 25 and drawn three so far this season.
