Toulouse snap up Didot from Stade Rennes
Toulouse have snapped up out-of-favour Rennes midfielder Etienne Didot for their first signing of the summer.
Didot, 24, has signed a four-year deal at the Stadium Municipal for a reported three million euros. He came through the ranks at Rennes and was club captain at the start of last season, but he did not feature in the plans of new coach Guy Lacombe, who arrived in December. 'I love to feel involved and the offer that was presented to me fitted that,' said Didot. 'I remain attached to my region, Brittany, but I wanted a new start.' Didot's brother Sylvain played for Toulouse for two seasons and scored the goal which promoted them to Ligue 1 in 2003.
