The agent of Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has responded furiously to suggestions in French sports paper L'Equipe that his client is on the verge of a move to Real Madrid.
Arnold Oosterveer was also particularly riled that the story claimed Vincenzo Morabito was Huntelaar's representitive.
Oosterveer said: 'This is ridiculous. I didn't know this story but I can tell that all that is printed there is nonsense.
'There is no contact with Real Madrid or any other club for the matter about Huntelaar.
'Morabito is not the agent of Klaas-Jan and we have in the past already rapped him over the knuckles. Unbelievable. It's also a shame that a renowned sports paper like L'Equipe prints this rubbish.'
Meanwhile, Ajax forward Albert Luque has been told he can look for another club this summer.
The 30-year-old is one of the highest earners at the Amsterdam giants but found first-team opportunities hard to come by last season.
Luque signed a three-year contract last August but did not make the best start to his Ajax career. He was involved in an altercation with team-mate Luis Suarez during a match in November for which he was substituted and later fined.
The club's technical director Danny Blind told Voetbal International magazine: 'He can still be of use to Ajax but I have told him honestly that we are looking for reinforcements for our attack.'
Ajax have also told striker Leonardo, Edgar Manucharyan, Nicolae Mitea and Robbert Schilder that they are free to leave the club.
