Wigan send keeper Nash on loan to Potters

March 4, 2008

Stoke have completed the loan signing of Wigan goalkeeper Carlo Nash on a three-month loan deal, subject to FA and Football League clearance.

The 34-year-old has joined the Britannia Stadium club until the end of the season in an attempt to boost their Coca Cola Championship promotion push, following Marton Fulop's return to parent club Sunderland last week.

Nash will be eligible to take part in the play-offs, including the Wembley final, if required.

Potters boss Tony Pulis told the club's official website: 'Carlo is a very, very good goalkeeper and he will play a part in the rest of the season.

'We were disappointed to lose Marton, but I am delighted to have managed to bring in another top class goalkeeper.'
