Injured Marshall will miss U.S. team's training camp
CARSON, Calif. -- Columbus Crew defender Chad Marshall will miss the U.S. national team's January training camp because of an injury.
Marshall was among 30 players selected last month by coach Bruce Arena for the camp, which starts Wednesday and precedes exhibition games against Canada on Jan. 22 at San Diego, Norway on Jan. 29 at Carson and Japan on Feb. 10 at San Francisco.
U.S. team spokesman Michael Kammarman said Tuesday that Marshall had tendinitis but trainers had not yet arrived in Carson and he wasn't sure of the exact injury.
