TAKE ON OUR EXPERTS

Premier Showdown - Oct 31 - Nov 1

November 1, 2009

A disgraceful performance from our players last weekend saw a woeful return of just six points from a possible 90.

The Rest of the World claimed their first win of the season, but with just three points! It is a record low, for sure.

Looking for a better score this weekend is Micky Brock. With the north London derby taking place we thought we'd get a fan from one of the two sides in.

"I'm a born and bred Gooner, proud of it," reveals Micky. "But I've been living in Sydney, Australia, for 20 years now and was a season ticket holder at Highbury for 10 years and President of the Australian Arsenal Supporters' Club for 15 before retiring when we left Highbury.

"At 51, I am a Store Manager for Carpet Call in Caringbah and I am a football tragic who spends Saturday nights glued to the giggle box watching the games beamed in live from England ... still, the missus reckons it's the best 10 months of the year 'cos she gets a good nights sleep! Be lucky."

Let's play.

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
