TAKE ON OUR EXPERTS
Premier Showdown
Another victory for Dale Johnson last weekend means that he's pulled 10.5 points clear at the top of the table - and there's a lot of work to do for Tommy Smyth and even more for our disappointing Rest of the World team.
Looking to bring some respectability to the scoreline in the next round of games is John Butler.
John tells us: "Hi there. I'm a Chelsea fan who moved to the United States in 1978. I lived in London for 10 years before moving to Shoreham-by-the-sea for 10 years then to the States.
"I am 51 years old, live in a small town in Ohio (Conneaut) and have worked as a shipping supervisior for the last 20 years.
"Peter Osgood was my favourite Chelsea player. I also used to go to Brighton and cheer for the Seagulls, it's sad to see where they are at today. Peter Ward was the man for them back then and he lived in the same area as me in Shoreham. I love the game!"
Let's see what John has in store for us...
Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test. They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out. Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
