Ribery sprains ankle

France playmaker Franck Ribery sprained his left ankle and hurt his knee in the 2-0 defeat by Italy at Euro 2008, coach Raymond Domenech said on Wednesday. 'He has a nasty ankle sprain,' Domenech told a news conference. 'As for the knee, we're not quite sure yet how serious the injury is. Further checks are needed. [+]
