A member of the Real Mallorca side built by Hector Cuper, now manager of Champions League finalists Valencia.
Stankovic orchestrated Mallorca's European Cup Winners' Cup run last season when they disposed of Chelsea at the semi-final stage, only to lose to Lazio in the final at Villa Park.
Gained his first international recognition in 1998, making his debut against Brazil in a 1-1 draw. Provides the side with width on the left and an excellent crosser of the ball.
Came on as a substitute for the injured Goran Djorovic early on the opening game against Slovenia and slotted in well.
