Very skilful defender with excellent passing ability who is a contender for a starting spot this summer.
Made his debut against Hong Kong in 1995 and has gained important European experience with Bordeaux.
Played a big role in Bordeaux's 1999 French title win, and is also a solid, reliable defender who can mark the best players out of a match.
Made a brief appearance as a sub against Spain, but was outclassed by the maurauding Edgar Davids in the 6-1 quarter-final humiliation by Holland.
