Has been involved in the international set-up for far longer than his relatively few number of caps might suggest. Expect to see this terrier-like player spending most of his summer warming the bench.
He might see some action if coach Boskov needs to firm things up towards the end of a game, but otherwise Govedarica tends to make way for more skillfull colleagues.
Something of a footballing nomad, he has played club football in Italy and Yugoslavia as well as Holland, where he is now with his second club.
Late substitute against Norway.
Came of the bench to score against Spain, his second international goal.
