Tugay became the first ever Turk to play in Scottish football when he joined Rangers for £1.3million from Galatasaray but the 29-year-old has yet to establish himself in Glasgow. Spent 14 years with the Turkish giants and turned down moves to Newcastle and Benfica before joining Dick Advocaat's side. Gheorghe Hagi rates him as one of the finest ball-playing midfielders in Europe. Appeared as a substitute in both opening group games, his pleasant touches even brought some light to the appalling Sweden match. Well, almost. Reacted petulantly after being substituted 35 minutes into the crucial victory against Belgium.
