Leicester City's Izzet is the one face who will be instantly recogniseable to British fans in the Turkish side. Joined the Midlands side from Chelsea for £750,000 and has emerged as an attacking midfielder of some pedigree either on the right or in the centre.
The 25-year-old was tipped as a future England international but chose to represent Turkey - he qualifies through his Turkish father - when it became clear that he didn't figure in Kevin Keegan's plans. Ironically, he plays on the left flank in the role England find it hardest to fill.
Disappointing end to his first cap when he hobbled off injured during the appalling 0-0 draw with Sweden in Group B. Izzet struggled - as many did - to make any creative impact on a scrappy, physical encounter.
