Made an unfortunate start to the championships when his mistake let in Bart Goor to score Belgium's opener. Was substituted at half-time for Teddy Lucic.
The oldest and most experienced player in Soderberg's squad.
He enjoyed a hugely successful spell with Sheffield Wednesday from 1989-94, with winning the League Cup and promotion to the top-flight among the highlights.
Made his debut as far back as 1986 against Greece and starred in Sweden's run to the semi-finals of both the 1992 European Championships and 1994 World Cups. Even so, he managed only his second international goal when scoring from the spot in his 111th international against Spain just before the finals.
Left Hillsborough to return to Sweden for his family's sake, but returned three years later for a two year spell with Coventry.
