Came on for Nilsson against Belgium but suffered similar defensive problems as he was troubled by the runs of Goor. Started against Turkey and faced few problems from an ineffectual attack.
A typically hard-working Scandanavian defender, Lucic made five appearances
in qualifying and has recovered from a disappointing spell in Serie A to
establish himself as a regular in the Swedish squad.
After a poor year with Bologna, he has now returned to Sweden - joining Solna.
Made his international debut at Goodison Park for Sweden against Brazil in the 1995 Umbro Cup and has been a squad regular ever since.
