Updated Thursday July 13, 2000, 10:01 PM GMT Henrik Larsson
Started Sweden's second game against Turkey but showed he is still some way short of fitness and was substituted before the end. He had replaced Petterson against Belgium, and had looked reasonably sharp after his long lay-off. Couldn't quite provide the spark that Sweden needed but started against Italy and displayed dazzling footwork to net what turned out to be a scant consolation goal in a 2-1 defeat. Celtic pin-up Larsson made his much-anticipated international return in the final warm-up match against Spain. Co-manager Lars Lagerback said after the game: 'Henrik was inspirational in the 25 minutes he played.' He broke his leg against Lyon on 21 October and played just 25 minutes for Celtic in their final league game Stefan Schwarz, Pontus Kamark and Andreas Andersson are all missing from Euro 2000 through injury: in their absence Sweden may have to rely all the more on Larsson and his goals.
