Came off the bench in the final seconds of the final warm-up game against Spain, replacing former Coventry star Roland Nilsson. Gustafsson himself moved to Highfield Road in December, making his Premiership bow against Arsenal.
Perhaps owes his place at Euro 2000 to the injury which sidelined Pontus Kaamark.
Was not expected to see much action this summer, but started in the 2-1 defeat by Italy..
