A fringe player on the international scene, having made only three appearances during qualifying, Jemez is a johnny-come-lately to the Spanish team.
The Zaragoza stopper made his debut two years ago in a friendly against Russia, when he was aged 28.
He is an uncompromising defender, who likes to get tight on opposing forwards. But he didn't get too tight on Norway's Steffen Iversen when the Spurs player scored the winner in Rotterdam.
Wasn't really inspiring against Yugoslavia and was substituted for Ismael Urzaiz.
Did little in the quarter-final against France except rugby tackle Henry as he charged down the left wing in the second half. Should have gone for it.
