The former Partizan Belgrade defender helped Sturm Graz to their first title since their formation, 89 years previously, in 1998. Sturm went on to win the Austrian League again last year and played European Cup holders Manchester United in this year's Champions League.
Milanic, however, has had numerous injury problems during the campaign and managed just 65 minutes of the first group phase.
Has curbed his injury proneness and has been a big featuer in the Yugoslavia and Spain games but misses the next game through suspension.
