Dabanovic was the man between the sticks in the momentous play-off win over the Ukraine that guaranteed the Slovenians a place in the last 16.
He was the only ever present in his club side, Rudar Velenje, last season and conceded just 33 goals at the rate of exactly one a game. His form earned him a move to Belgian side Lokeren in the summer of 1999.
Started against Yugoslavia and Spain unfortunately has conceded five goals in the two games.
Kept a clean sheet against Norway.
