Updated Thursday July 13, 2000, 10:00 PM GMT Dan Petrescu
Recently voted his country's player of 1999 and one of the best three players ever to represent Romania, Petrescu will be a familiar face in the side this summer. One of the finest exponents of the right wing-back role, his experience makes him a valuable member of Ienei's squad. A veteran of three major finals - England fans will remember his decisive winning goal at France 98 - he has also enjoyed vast success at club level throughout his career at Steaua Bucharest, Genoa, Foggia, Sheffield Wednesday and Chelsea. Substituted in the second-half against Germany. Hard a large part in Romania's dogged defence and was unlucky to be on the losing side. Was a menace against England and his cross led to Chivu's goal in Romania's 3-2 win over England.
