Haldan joined Dynamo Bucharest as an 11-year-old and remains at the club some 14 years later. He was a regular in the U21 set-up before making his debut at international level in March 1999 when Romania played host to Estonia. Chances have been limited since, but his versatility will make him a useful asset in the Low Countries.
