A member of the Romanian squad at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups, Galca provides a strong midfield presence.
He won four league titles with Steaua during the 1990s before moving to Real Mallorca where he demonstrated his eye for goal with an impressive 13 strikes in 34 games in his first season.
A regular in the starting line-up, he played all but the last 15 minutes of Romania's Euro 2000 qualifying campaign and remained in the starting line-up for the opening clash with Germany.
Was substituted for Dumitru Rosu early in the second-half.
Again subbed against the Italians - sacrificed for pace as ten-man Romania chased a two-goal deficit.
