Pauleta as he is known could operate as the lone front man or may be named alongside Sa Pinto or Gomez.
Joined Deportivo in 1998 after two seasons with Salamanca. Won the first of his ten caps against Armenia in 1997.
Set up the first goal against Germany and had an excellent overall performance.
