'Costinha' joined Monaco from Nacional Da Madeira in 1997. He was not named
in the squad for the recent game against Italy and with so much competition in
midfield, he is likely to be among the fringe players.
Came on as late substitute against Romania and scored the injury-time winner that put Portugal into the last eight.
Kept the balance in the Portuguese side as most of his team mates piled forward.
Picked up a needless booking against Turkey and will be praying he doesn't pick up another.
Had a combative game in the midfield and was impressive against Vieira and Petit against France.
