PARIS, June 27 (Reuters) - French captain Didier Deschamps has decided to leave the national team after Euro 2000, several newspapers reported on Tuesday.
Deschamps, expected to mark his 100th cap on Wednesday in France's semifinal with Portugal in Brussels, informed teammates of his decision after his team beat Spain 2-1 in the tournament's quarter-final at the weekend, the papers said.
'The captain will put an end to his international career after Euro 2000,' daily le Parisien reported on its front page.
