Arsenal have told Italian rivals Lazio and Roma that they will have to spend £13.5million if they want to sign Dutch winger Marc Overmars.

Overmars, starring for the hosts in Euro 2000, has been singled out for a move to Italy's capital with Lazio boss Fabio Capello favourite to land the 27-year-old.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants to keep the Dutchman but needs to raise money in order to fund the arrival of Robert Pires from Marseille.
