STOCKHOLM, June 21 (Reuters) - Sweden's Tomas Gustafsson, who plays for Coventry in the English premier league, will be out of action for at least six months after suffering a severe knee injury in the 2-1 defeat by Italy at Euro2000 on Monday.

'I hoped for a better outcome of both the injury and the result of the match,' said the disappointed defender.

Sweden finished bottom of group B, won by Italy who now play Romania in the quarter-finals.
