BRUSSELS, June 20 (Reuters) - Turkish coach Mustafa Denizli has sent midfielder
Tugay Kerimoglu home from Euro 2000.
The move came after the player reacted angrily to being substituted in the 2-0 win over Belgium.
'The coach took the decision, and Tugay left the hotel,' a spokesman for the Turkish FA confirmed from the team's base in Brussels.
'He showed a lack of respect to the coach,' the spokesman said when asked why Tugay had been banished.
The Glasgow Rangers player threw his shinpads towards Denizli after he was substituted after only 37 minutes of the game in Brussels. Tugay, who won his 60th cap on Monday, later apologised - but Denizli decided to take a tough line.
