TEGELEN, Netherlands, June 10 (Reuters) - Valencia midfielder Gerard Lopez played down talk of a transfer to AC Milan on Saturday, insisting: 'You never know what's going to happen.'
Reports from Italy on Friday quoted AC Milan vice-president
Adriano Galliani as saying his club had agreed a deal to sign
the promising 21-year-old from the start of the 2002 season.
But the Spanish international insisted: 'I've not signed
anything with anyone.
'I don't know anything and to be honest I don't want to
know. Now is not the time to talk about this.
'In football everything changes. Who knows what's going to
happen tomorrow? I've got a contract with Valencia for two more
seasons and I'm happy there.'
Gerard's Valencia team mate Francisco Farinos was understood
to have signed for Inter Milan after the club announced the deal
on their web page.
