GEEL, Belgium, June 9 (Reuters) - Inter Milan's Luigi Di Biagio pulled a thigh muscle in training on Friday and could miss Italy's opening match of Euro 2000 against Turkey.

Di Biagio, pushing hard for a place in the Italy midfield for the group B match in Arnhem on Sunday, limped out of the session shaking his head in disappointment.

A team spokesman said he had pulled a muscle on the outside of his left thigh and would undergo a magnetic resonance test on Saturday before Dino Zoff's side leave for the Netherlands.

The Italians have picked up a series of minor injuries in training since they arrived in Belgium.

Lazio centreback Alessandro Nesta and Juventus midfielder Gianluca Zambrotta have both cut short practice sessions although they now appear fit to play.

Top Italian striker Christian Vieri and first choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon both withdrew from the squad with injuries on the eve of the squad's departure.

Zoff has dropped few hints about his approach to Sunday's match and has kept observers guessing about his attacking line-up in particular.

In Friday's session he fielded AS Roma pairing Francesco Totti and Marco Delvecchio in what appeared to be first team bibs in a 10-a-side training match.

Filippo Inzaghi played in a second team bib although he is widely expected to start against the Turks.

His Juventus team mate Alessandro Del Piero played half the match for the first team and half for the second as Zoff switched between a two-man and a three-man attack.
