BELGRADE, June 8 (Reuters) - Yugoslavia's third-choice goalkeeper, Aleksandar Kocic, has pulled out of Euro 2000 after slipping and breaking his finger when coming out of the shower.
Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti said on Thursday the accident happened after the team's last home training session on Wednesday.
'This happens once in 100 years' said Kocic, who plays for Red Star Belgrade. 'I don't know how I could fall just before the trip...I have no luck but that's life and you have to get used to it.'
'I believe the victories of my friends will ease the pain.'
Kocic, with 16 caps, will be replaced by Milorad Korac of Obilic. Yugoslavia open their campaign against Slovenia in Charleroi on Tuesday. Spain and Norway are also in group C.
