Wimbledon striker Andreas Lund is bitterly disappointed at being omitted from the Norwegian squad for Euro 2000.
Lund was the unlucky player to be left out of the original 23-man squad named by coach Nils Johan Semb, but will now have to watch the action from the commentary box for Norwegian TV.
Lund said: 'Its no fun being the only player to be dumped after our last training session. I felt somehow that I had been welcomed back into the fold, and that makes it a little more difficult to accept'.
'Immediately before the press conference where Nils Johan Semb, was due to announce Norway's squad for Euro 2000, he made a 'phone call to one footballer who had not been picked for the team. Unfortunately, that 'phone call was to me.'
