Johansson names Denmark squad

COPENHAGEN, May 29 (Reuters) - Denmark head coach Bo Johansson on Monday named the country's 22-man squad for the European Championship finals in Belgium and the Netherlands starting next month.

Denmark, European Champions in 1992, are drawn in Group D with France, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. They are to play Euro 2000 co-hosts Belgium in an international warm-up friendly in Copenhagen on June 3.

SQUAD:

Goalkeepers: Peter Schmeichel (Sporting Lisbon), Thomas Soerensen (Sunderland), Peter Kjaer (Silkeborg).

Defenders: Soeren Colding (Brondby), Thomas Helveg (AC Milan), Rene Henriksen (Panathinaikos), Jes Hoegh (Chelsea), Michael Schjoenberg (Kaiserslautern), Jan Heintze (PSV Eindhoven), Martin Laursen (Verona).

Midfielders/forwards: Allan Nielsen (Tottenham), Jesper Groenkjaer (Ajax Amsterdam), Jon Dahl Tomasson (Feyenoord), Martin Joergensen (Udinese), Ebbe Sand (Schalke), Brian Steen Nielsen (AB Copenhagen), Stig Toefting (AGF Aarhus/Hamburger SV), Bjarne Goldbaek (Fulham), Mikols Molnar (Kansas City Wizards), Morten Bisgaard (Udinese), Thomas Gravesen (Hamburger SV), Mikkel Beck (Derby County/AaB Aalborg).
