MONACO, May 29 (Reuters) - Monaco goalkeeper Fabien Barthez
has taken time off from France's Euro 2000 squad to sort out his
club future.
'He is looking after his business', Monaco official Emile
Rossi said on Monday after world champions France beat Croatia
2-0 on Sunday in a warm-up match.
Barthez has been reported to be about to leave Monaco for
the past few weeks and has been linked to clubs such as
Manchester United.
He denied the rumours about United earlier this month,
saying he would stay in the principality. Monaco club sources
said he had also been approached by Barcelona.
France manager Roger Lemerre has ordered his 22 players to
settle their transfers for next season before the start of the
European championship next month.
Most of the French squad stayed in Croatia after Sunday's
match in Zagreb to play a friendly against a club side.
They are due to fly from Paris to Morocco on Thursday for a
four-nation tournament in Casablanca.
