Liverpool duo out of Czech squad

PRAGUE, April 17 (Reuters) - Liverpool pair Patrik Berger and Vladimir Smicer were missing from a squad of 22 named on Monday by Czech Republic coach Jozef Chovanec for the friendly against Israel in Prague on April 26.

Midfielder Berger is suspended for the opening two games of Euro 2000 while striker Smicer remained unavailable because of an ankle injury.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Radek Cerny (Slavia Prague), Ladislav Maier (Rapid Vienna), Pavel Srnicek (Sheffield Wednesday)

Defenders: Milan Fukal, Petr Gabriel (both Sparta Prague), Karel Rada, Petr Vlcek (both Slavia Prague), Tomas Repka (Fiorentina), Jan Suchoparek (Tennis Borussia Berlin)
