Romania took no risks and
called up 11 of their top overseas-based players to face group
seven underdogs Liechtenstein in their final Euro 2000 qualifier
away on October 9.
Romania are group leaders with 21 points, one point ahead of
Portugal, and need a win against bottom-placed Liechtenstein to
confirm their place in the 2000 finals in the Netherlands and
Belgium.
Dorinel Munteanu, who plays midfield for Germany's
Wolfsburg, and defender Iulian Filipescu of Spain's Real Betis
are banned for two bookings in previous games and will miss next
week's match.
