Ruud Gullit finally unearthed the answer to Chelsea's goalkeeping quandry when he snapped up giant de Goey from Feyenoord in June 1997.
He is the tallest man ever to play for the Stamford Bridge side at 6'6" and has won 29 Dutch caps to date. He also managed more clean sheets than any Chelsea keeper in history last season, on the way to another trophy in the FA Cup.
Currently second-choice behind van der Saar, he is sure to prove a more than capable deputy if called upon by Rijkaard.
