The Surinam-born midfielder is enjoying a renaissance with Inter Milan in Serie A and should come into the Championships high on confidence.
He left Real Madrid this season after being unable to displace Steve McManaman and finding himself on the sidelines. He was a Champions League winner in 1998 with Real but fell out of favour with John Toshack and Vicente del Bosque.
Has proven a revelation in the Inter midfield since joining in December.
Substitued in the game with the Czech Republic after exchanging a few words with the referee and team mate Edgar Davids. Worked very hard as a semi-final substitute, but despite his promptings the Dutch just couldn't find the net.
