A stylish left-footed midfielder who can play in centre midfield, on either wing, or at left-full back, Cocu has become a vital component of the Dutch machine.
Another Nou Camp-based star, he is a player prepared to dig in and battle when necessary, but prefers the game to flow freely.
He is now a regular in the Dutch side after emerging as a player of real quality in the last World Cup.
Had a couple of good chances early on against France, but seemed to drift out of the action as time went on.
He was assured and composed as the Dutch suffered a night of spot-kick horror to bow out against Italy.
