Playmaker who has broken into the French squad due to his outstanding performances for FC Girondins de Bordeaux this season.
Moved from Cannes to Bordeaux in 1996 and was instrumental behind strikers Lilian Laslandes and Sylvain Wiltord in their championship season 98-99. His performances not only grabbed Lemerre's attention but the midfielder is also expected to make a lucrative move to Serie A.
Made his debut in August 19999 against Northern Ireland. Likes to play behind the front two but with Zinedine Zidane occupying that role Micoud will be playing backup.
Played against Holland and looked classy in centre midfield, especially in the first-half.
