Part of this season's European Championship winning Real Madrid side but did not play much of a part in their way to the finals and as a result sealed a £2.1million move to English side Middlesbrough.
He also won the Champions League with Real in the 97-98 season and a World Cup winners medal in 1998 but a recent dip in form has meant that Karembeu has spent most of the season on the bench at the Bernabeu and has not played in any of France's Euro 2000 qualifiers.
Will not be in the starting 11 but is expected to play some part due to potential injuries and suspensions.
Played against Holland in defence and did not looked completely happy.
