Profile:

Will be remembered most in the Final for picking up yet another nose injury - each nostril plugged up to staunch the bleeding, he cut a strangely-comic figure - he was substituted long before France mounted their implausible comeback.

Played well in the final warm-up match against Morrocco but didn't feature against Denmark through suspension. Replaced Anelka against the Czechs and kept the previously threatening Poborsky busy.

Some nice touches against Holland were rewarded with a goal.

Former Barcelona and AC Milan striker who joined Bordeaux from Marseille this season, his goalscoring record at international level can only be described as poor.

He claims he is more of a provider than a finisher, but he could well lose his place this summer with Trezeguet and Henry likely to be Lemerre's starting front two.

Put in a late bid for the first team in the final warm-up game before Euro 2000 with a good performance and a goal in France's 5-1 victory over Morocco.

Was having a great game in the quarter-finals until he rose to challenge for a header on the Spanish goal in the 16th minute and injured his nose.

Forced to go off twice for treatment in the first half and came out in the second with both noses 'plugged'.

Struggled with his breathing, battled on but drifted in and out of the game. Still continues to impress overall, though.
