Every team needs a tough tackling ball winner and Tofting fits the bill for Denmark.
A combative midfield player who will play the vital link role for Denmark in turning defence into attacking situations, his no-nonsense approach holds the Danish midfield together.
Started the first game of the tournament for the Danes in the 3-0 loss to France. But he failed to be effective in the game and was substituted 19 minutes from time, Thomas Gravesen coming on.
Came on as a substitute for Alan Nielsen in Denmarks 3-0 defeat at the hands of Holland.
Was strong in the tackle against the Czechs but, unfortunately for the Danes, that doesn't win matches or score goals.
