Heintze is very much the veteran of the Danish backline and has a wealth of experience at international level with 61 caps.
Euro 2000 is likely to be his international swansong, and his reliability and knowledge of top quality defending will be invaluable to Denmark's challenge.
Played in the Danes' first group match of Euro 2000 - a 3-0 defeat against France. The defender, like his team-mates at the back for Denmark, struggled throughout the whole game to cope with the pace of the French forwards.
Had a quiet game against Holland but no Danish defender stood out in the game as Denmark lost 3-0.
