Has been one of the most consistent performers in Portugal since his move to the Stadium of Light from Manchester United. The move to Old Trafford, following his personal success at Euro 96, never really paid off for player or club. A technically sound and clever ball player, he has the ability to produce something magical to turn a game in a flash. Sometimes drifts in and out of games but can be devastating when the mood takes him. Gave an excellent performance versus the Dutch and seems to have recovered his form of Euro 96. Against France was probably the best player on the pitch for the Czechs. Was very creative and hard working all game and scored the penalty. Created Smicer's first goal against Denmark.
