A surprise call up to Chovanec's squad. He was playing in UEFA's under-21 tournament in Slovakia before being chosen for the Euro 2000 finals.
Has come through the ranks having played at all international levels for the Czechs and received his only first team cap against Mexico in February.
Has been with FC Banik Ostrava since the age of ten and broke into the first team during the 97-98 season.
Won his second cap as a substitute for Tomas Rosicky against France.
