Jamaica's Goodison in motorcycle accident

KINGSTON, Jamaica, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Jamaican defender Ian Goodison was involved in a road accident on the eve of Sunday's CONCACAF World Cup qualifier against Mexico when his motorcycle was in collision with a car.

Goodison, who plays for English Third Division club Hull City, had already been ruled out of the Mexico game, having earned a one-match suspension because of two yellow cards.

He was treated in hospital and sent home but is unlikely to be fit for Jamaica's next World Cup qualifier away to Honduras on Wednesday.

Goodison, who was travelling with a pillion rider, was reported to have received a bad cut on his knee. Technical director Clovis de Oliviera said: 'This makes me very upset and it is an unacceptable attitude but I don't want to talk about that now. I want to focus on Mexico.'

Last January Goodison's fellow international defender Steve Malcolm was killed in a car accident.
