Full-time: Stirling Albion 1 - 1 Queen of the South
Soccernet.com

Stirling Albion's 1-1 home draw against Queen of the South finally condemned them to Third Division football for the first time in their history.

Albion, who have played out 17 draws this season, produced a battling second half display, but it was not quite enough to earn all three points.

After a quiet opening the visitors took the lead after 23 minutes when Geoff Patterson's corner carried to top-scorer Peter Weatherson who scored with a stunning left-foot volley from 15 yards.

Stirling were the better side in the second half and drew level after 52 minutes when Craig Feroz headed home a Kevin McCallion cross.

Stirling pushed hard for a winner but couldn't find a way through, although Alex Williams was unlucky to see his 80th-minute effort come back off the post.
